Artist’s Statement

Just a tiny speck…
Do you remember when you felt most vulnerable and insignificant? For me it is when I look at a landscape from a great height. I become just a tiny speck within the landscape. It is neither good nor bad.But it is incredibly overwhelming.

Sally combines the transparent qualities of watercolour inks and the unpredictability of the monotype printing process to create these aerial landscapes that push towards abstraction.
